Professor Keely is an expert in Immunology and Microbiology. His research focuses on the role of molecular mechanisms in human health, and in particular gastrointestinal disease.

Recent research and rapid leaps in technology have furthered our understanding of the role of ‘-omics’ (including genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, epigenomics, microbiomics, and metabolomics) in life course health.

As Research Lead for ‘-omics’ Professor Keely will utilise his expertise to develop collaborations, grants, and projects across the spectrum of ‘-omics’ research.
