Associate Professor Craig Gedye
Associate Professor Gedye is a member of the NEW1000 Executive Board and Biobanking Lead.
He has experience in establishing biobanking facilities and was instrumental in the development of the Mark Hughes Foundation Brain Cancer Biobank, which was created in 2014 at HMRI to store blood and tissue samples for use by researchers in the future as new technology and knowledge arise.
He is an experienced and successful clinician-researcher in oncology and has been awarded over $14 million in research funding and has published over 60 peer-reviewed journal articles.
He will use this experience to assist in developing the Newcastle 1000 biobank facility to store our samples and ensure the longevity of the study.
